Welcome to Butte Falls Community Forest

Butte Falls Community Forest is a 430-acre forestland that surrounds the town of Butte Falls. We manage the land locally to mitigate wildfire risks, preserve drinking water sources, protect fish and wildlife habitats, and promote economic development, recreation, tourism, and natural resources education.

Forest Restoration

We specialize in restoring forests to their natural state by removing invasive species and promoting the growth of native vegetation. Our forestry mulching services help to control undergrowth while improving soil quality and reducing the risk of wildfires.

Sustainable Management Plans

We work closely with the community to develop sustainable management plans that balance the needs of the environment, economy, and society. Our plans include strategies for maintaining healthy forests, protecting water quality, supporting local businesses, and engaging the public in forest stewardship.

Timber Sales

We offer selective timber harvesting services that are designed to maximize the economic and ecological benefits of the forest. Our experienced team carefully selects trees for removal based on their species, age, and health, while minimizing impacts on the ecosystem.

Tree Inventory and Monitoring

We conduct thorough tree inventories and regular monitoring to assess the health and growth of the forest. Our tree marking services help to identify trees that need to be removed or preserved, while our planting services promote the growth of new trees.

Education and Outreach

We believe that education is key to promoting forest stewardship and sustainability. We offer a variety of educational programs, tours, and outreach events to engage the community in our mission.
